Coconut oil is an amazing ingredient for your skin and hair! A couple of years ago, I shared some of my favorite and easy coconut oil hair mask recipes which you guys loved so much! Coconut oil is a very nourishing hair mask ingredient! Now I haven’t really been using coconut oil on my face, except to do the Oil Cleansing Method. But using it as a face mask is actually a great way for people of ALL skin types to get better skin naturally!
Yes, even people with oily or acne prone skin can benefit from a coconut oil face mask! Don’t worry about it clogging your pores because you’ll be removing it off your face after some time! That’s the beauty of a face mask – it provides deep intense treatment for a short period of time instead of sitting on your face for long. People with oily or acne prone skin shouldn’t moisturize their faces with coconut oil but can use it as a face mask ingredient or for Oil Cleansing!

5 Coconut Oil Face Mask Recipes for Beautiful Skin
1. Look 10 Years Younger Face Mask
What you need:
- 3 tbsp baking soda
- ¼ cup creamy coconut oil
- 2 drops lavender essential oil
- 2 drops tea tree essential oil
- 2 oz container for storage
- Spoon for mixing
Directions:
- Add ¼ cup of creamy coconut oil into your container.
- Now pour in 3 tbsp of baking soda.
- Mix the two ingredients thoroughly using a spoon till well combined.
- Finally, add 2 drops of lavender essential oil and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and stir again.
- Store your jar in the bathroom cabinet.
- To use, scoop out about a tsp using dry fingers and massage it gently all over your face, avoiding the eye area.
- Leave it to do its magic for 7 minutes then come back and rinse off with tepid water.

2. Coconut Oil & Honey Face Mask
What you need:
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp raw honey
- Small mixing bowl & spoon
Directions:
- Simply combine the two ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
- Spread the mixture on a clean dry face, avoiding the eye area.
- Leave it to penetrate deeper for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse off with warm water.
- Now pat your face dry with a clean towel. Your face will feel a little greasy but don’t fret! It will quickly get absorbed by your skin.
3. Coconut Oil Face Mask for Acne Prone Skin
What you need:
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp activated charcoal
- 2 drops tea tree essential oil
- Small bowl and spoon
Directions:
- Mix up your ingredients in a small bowl to form a black slightly gritty paste.
- Apply all over your face, avoiding the area around your eyes and mouth.
- Leave it on for 5 minutes then carefully rinse it off with warm water or a wet (old) washcloth.
4. Coconut Oil and Egg Face Mask
What you need:
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 2 tsp whisked egg
- ½ tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Small mixing bowl & spoon
Directions:
- Crack a whole egg into a bowl and whisk it up for a minute.
- Now get 2 tsp of this whisked egg and put it in a small bowl. Use the rest of the whisked egg to make yourself an omelet!
- Next add ½ tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 tsp of coconut oil into the bowl.
- Mix all ingredients till well combined and creamy.
- Using clean fingers or a face mask brush, scoop up the face mask and apply it all over your face, avoiding the area around the eyes and mouth.
- Let the mask sit on your face for 5 minutes.
- When the time is up, rinse off the mask using warm water.
- You can wash your face with your facial cleanser to get rid of the excess oil on your skin. Or, just splash your face with cold water and pat dry.
- Moisturize if necessary. Admire how dewy and glowing your face looks!
5. Glowing Skin Face Mask
What you need:
- 1 tsp of creamy coconut oil
- ½ tsp raw honey
- 1 drop tea tree essential oil
- 1 drop geranium essential oil
- Small bowl & smooth for mixing
Directions:
- Mix up all your ingredients to create a silky smooth paste.
- Apply it on your face, avoiding the area around your eyes and mouth.
- Let it sit for 3-5 minutes to sink into your skin cells.
- Rinse off with warm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel.
