Can you use cocoa butter on your face at night? And what are the benefits of doing so? Read on!

Why You Should Use Cocoa Butter on Your Face at Night Time

Using cocoa butter at night time is very beneficial because night time is when the skin repairs itself! Applying nourishing ingredients like cocoa butter, which is rich in vitamins and fatty acids, at night time can boost your skin to repair, rejuvenate and resuscitate itself!

Here are some of the nutrients in cocoa butter and their benefits for skin!

  • Vitamin E – Cocoa butter is rich in Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant. Vitamin E is known as the beauty vitamin because it makes skin smooth, supple and soft. It also helps reduce scars and promotes youthful skin.
  • Vitamin K – Vitamin K is good for removing dark circles, stretch marks and bruises.
  • Essential Fatty Acids – Cocoa butter contains arachidic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid and other fatty acids. These essential fatty acids deeply moisturize and nourish skin cells while offering it protection from harsh environmental conditions, UV damage and free radicals.

Not everyone can apply cocoa butter on their face at night with positive results. For example, those with oily or acne prone skin should avoid using cocoa butter on the face.

Where to Get Cocoa Butter

Make sure to buy 100% pure cocoa butter that is raw and organic. Avoid cocoa butter with added ingredients because we want to use the purest and unprocessed form for maximum nutrients and benefits, right?! I love and recommend Caribbean Cocoa Butter. It comes in a 1 pound block!
