Bath melts are unique little creations that make bath time much more luxurious. They’re made out of stuff like nourishing oils with extra ingredients such as dried herbs, healing powders, tea or honey added.
To use them, all you have to do is pop one into a hot/warm bath. It will slowly melt and infuse into the water. This will do wonders for your skin! It will soften it, make it smooth, reduce inflammation, moisturize it and more!

DIY 3 Shea Butter Bath Melts
1. Soothing Lavender Honey Bath Melts
What you need
- ½ cup shea butter (where to get it)
- 1 tbsp almond oil (where to get it)
- 1 tbsp dried lavender flowers (where to get it)
- 1 tbsp raw honey (where to get it)
- 30 drops lavender essential oil (where to get it)
- Coffee grinder (where to get it)
- Double boiler (where to get it)
- Silicone mold tray (where to get it)
- Storage container (where to get it)
Directions
- Melt the shea butter together with almond oil butter using a double boiler, while stirring frequently.
- Meanwhile, grind up the lavender flowers till crushed into powder. Use a coffee grinder or blender or mortar and pestle.
- Once melted, allow it to cool for 2 minutes then stir in the crushed lavender flowers, raw honey and lavender oil.
- Pour into your silicone molds and freeze for 30 minutes.
- Store in a cool dry place.
- To use, pop 1 bath melt into your warm bath! Have a soothing soak for as long as you want!
2. Chocolate Vanilla Bath Melts
What you need
- ½ cup cocoa butter (where to get it)
- 2 tbsp shea butter (where to get it)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder (where to get it)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (where to get it)
- Double boiler (where to get it)
- Silicone mold tray (where to get it)
- Storage container (where to get it)
Directions
- Melt the cocoa butter and shea butter using a double boiler.
- Once melted, allow it to cool for 2 minutes then stir in the cocoa powder and vanilla extract.
- Pour into your silicone molds and freeze for 30 minutes.
- Store in a cool dry place.
- Add 1 bath melts into your warm bath! Enjoy chocolate vanilla heaven!
3. Rose Petal Bath Melts Directions
What you need
- ½ cup shea butter (where to get it)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil (where to get it)
- 2 tbsp rose petals (where to get it)
- 2 tbsp baking soda (where to get it)
- 1 tbsp Epsom salts (where to get it)
- 30 drops rose essential oil (where to get it)
- Double boiler (where to get it)
- Coffee grinder or blender (where to get it)
- Silicone mold tray (where to get it)
- Storage container (where to get it)
Directions
- Melt the shea butter and coconut oil in a double boiler.
- Meanwhile, grind up the rose petals in a coffee grinder or your blender.
- Gently stir the contents of the double boiler to help them melt evenly.
- Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the crushed rose petals.
- Let it cool off for a minute then stir in the baking soda, Epsom salts and rose essential oil.
- Pour into your silicone mold tray.
- Freeze for 2 hours.
- Store in a sterilized container.
- Drop one bath melt into a warm or hot bath! Relaaaxxxx ~
Be Careful
- Use just one bath melt. Two is overdoing it, will have an overpowering scent and make the bath tub too greasy.
- Even with one bath melt, the bathtub will still be greasy so please be careful when getting out!
