Delay Eye Wrinkles with Shea Butter
The skin around our eyes is very thin and doesn’t produce sebum, which makes it prone to dryness…and you know what dry skin means – wrinkles! I don’t know about you but wrinkles in the eye area is one thing I’m very keen to delay. Those little crinkles and creases that happen when you smile immediately show that you’re aging and if you want to look youthful, you have to start using anti-aging products NOW. By anti-aging products, of course I don’t mean a load of that store-bought stuff, nope! Not when you have pure shea butter in your midst! This miracle ingredient is a powerful collagen booster, fights off wrinkle-promoting free radicals and intensely nurtures and plumps up the skin under the eyes.
DIY Eye Cream with Only 3 Ingredients!
This DIY eye cream uses just 3 ingredients but they are powerful in the world of anti-aging! The first ingredient is of course shea butter, then there’s vitamin E oil: a very potent antioxidant and rose essential oil: a deluxe skin smoother & nourisher. Read more benefits of these ingredients below:
→ Vitamin E Oil – Known as the “Skin Vitamin”, vitamin E is your ultimate skin savior! It not only lubricates dry parched skin but also revitalizes aging skin, heals blemishes and acne scars as well as rescues sun damaged skin. The kind of vitamin E oil you should look for is D-alpha tocopherol which is the natural and unaltered vitamin E, the one that has all these benefits for skin. The other version of vitamin E oil available in the market is Dl alpha tocopherol (note that this one’s name has an L after the D), which is synthetic a.k.a made in a laboratory. Ew, you do not want to be putting that on your skin! So please use the right vitamin E oil for your precious under-eye skin!
→ Rose Essential Oil – One of the most luxurious smelling essential oils on the planet, rose is carefully extracted from freshly picked rose flowers. It’s one of the more expensive essential oils but in my opinion it’s totally worth it – not only for its heavenly scent but also its benefits for skin! Rose is also one of the select few essential oils that you can use if you have sensitive skin because of its soothing properties. It helps reduce inflammation with its strong anti-inflammatory properties, fights off germs with its antibacterial properties as well as softens and feeds skin with necessary nutrients to keep it smooth and supple! If you want youthful skin, rose is one essential oil you should invest in.
Note: If you can’t get rose essential oil, you can use rose absolute oil or even substitute it with rose geranium essential oil, which is a less pricey but effective alternative!

Notes
Instead of rose, try other anti-aging oils such as:
→ Frankincense essential oil – firms sagging skin, promotes cell regeneration, minimizes the appearance of sun spots & scars
→ Carrot seed essential oil – protects skin from sun damage, nourishes & rejuvenates tired looking skin
→ Sandalwood essential oil – promotes proper blood circulation thus preventing under-eye bags & puffiness, tones mature skin, good for sensitive skin, moisturizes dry skin
Be careful
Please apply this DIY eye cream only under your eyes. Do not use it on your eyelids because it may seep into your eyes and irritate them.
