Dreadlocks are hipster. But when it comes to maintaining them, it can get a little difficult. Many people with locs end up with product buildup and residue because of the products they use on their hair. You need a proper hair washing routine for dreadlocks to leave them looking and feeling good.
So if you’ve ever used oil/butters to moisturize dry dreadlocks, then you might have experienced greasy residue and buildup in your locs. That’s because these waxy substances leak into the locs and remain there. Overtime, they collect and end up making your dreads icky.
The best DIY all-natural shampoo for dreads I’ve seen so far is the one below from HairobicsAllNatural. It works well in cleansing your dreadlocks, leaving them clean soft and light weight.
