Amla Hair Butter Recipe
Hair butters are rich, nourishing creamy masks that you apply to your hair for about 30 minutes a week, to heal, maintain and treat your hair. Hair butters are basically the more dense, creamier and more moisturizing versions of hair masks! Making your own hair butters at home can help especially with dry frizzy hair.
How to Make Amla Hair Butter
Here’s my version of a super simple amla hair butter I make, with just 2 ingredients only!
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup of amla powder
- ½ cup of full fat yogurt
Method:
1.In a bowl, mix the amla powder and yogurt together. Use a whisk so you can get a creamy, lump-free butter.
2.Let the butter rest in the bowl overnight in the fridge. This will help the amla powder to rehydrate and its compounds will infuse into the yogurt.
3.The next day, your amla hair butter will be thick and luscious.
4.Apply onto your scalp and hair. Cover your hair with a disposable shower cap. Allow the hair butter to work its magic for minimum 30 minutes.
5.Now wash off with a mild shampoo.
