1. Turmeric Face Wash for Skin Brightening
Why did nobody tell me how easy it is to make your own skin brightening turmeric face wash that has no ill side effects like other skin brightening products on the market! I will never buy such face washes at high prices from the market ever again!
Ingredients
- ¼ cup liquid castile soap
- ½ cup rose water
- 2 tsp aloe vera gel
- 1 tsp rosehip oil
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 6 drops grapefruit essential oil
Directions
- In a glass bowl, add in all the ingredients one by one.
- Mix them all up with a glass stirring rod
- Now transfer to a 4oz pump bottle.
- Use 2 pumps to wash your face with this turmeric face wash. Rub it into your skin for a minute before washing off.
2. Turmeric Foaming Sugar Scrub
There’s nothing as exciting as a foaming sugar scrub and they are so easy to make! This turmeric foaming sugar scrub will replace your soap in your shower and will leave your skin soft, exfoliated, bright and glowing!
Ingredients
- ½ cup of fine sugar
- ¼ cup of coconut oil
- ¼ cup of your favorite shower gel/body wash
- 2 tsp of turmeric powder
Directions
- Get any recycled container or plastic container with a lid
- Pour in your fine sugar. If you have normal sugar, just pulse it in the blender to make it fine.
- Now add your favorite shower gel/body wash. You may use more or less as you prefer.
- Add your turmeric powder.
- Mix everything thoroughly.
- How to use your turmeric foaming sugar scrub: Use this in your shower as a foaming scrub. Rub the scrub all over your skin in gentle circular motions. Wash off. No need to apply soap again. Your skin will be so smooth and fresh!
3. Turmeric Body Wash
Why wash your body with harmful chemical-laden body washes when you can make your own homemade turmeric body wash that brightens your skin, removes tans, heals dark areas and hyperpigmentation, and is so easy to make?!
Ingredients
- 1 cup liquid castile soap
- 2 cups rose water
- 4 tablespoons aloe vera gel
- 4 tsp rosehip oil
- 4 tsp turmeric
- 24 drops grapefruit essential oil
Directions
- In a large container, add in all the ingredients one by one.
- Mix them all up with a long spoon
- Now transfer to a large dispenser container or old body wash container.
- Use as you would any other body wash in the shower. After applying the body wash all over your skin, allow it to sit on your skin for at least 1 minute while massaging, so you can get more benefits. You can use other essential oils as well, like tea tree or lavender, if you are suffering from body acne, but for me I just love the invigorating scent of grapefruit, which is also known to help with cellulite.
4. Turmeric Makeup Cleansing Wipes
These cleansing wipes actually do a great job at removing makeup, with the added benefit of brightening up your skin tone, helping with facial hyperpigmentation and reducing acne blemishes and dark spots.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup liquid castile soap
- ½ cup rose water
- 2 tsp aloe vera gel
- 1 tsp rosehip oil
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 6 drops grapefruit essential oil
Directions
- You will need cotton rounds and a glass canister to store your cotton rounds.
- In a glass bowl, pour all the ingredients one by one.
- Give it a good mix with a glass stirring rod.
- Now layer your cotton rounds into your glass canister.
- Slowly pour the cleansing mix you just made into the canister.
- Make sure the cleansing mix soaks all the cotton pads.
- Store in your bathroom counter.
- Use 1 – 2 wipes to cleanse your face at the end of the day.
5. Turmeric Lemon Scrub for Hyperpigmentation
This turmeric lemon scrub recipe will excite you so much because it is a great tool to tackle your hyperpigmentation!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of fine white sugar
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of raw honey
- 1 tablespoon of rosehip oil
- 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil
- 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
- 1 lemon – grate the rind & use both the rind and juice of the lemon
- 5 drops of carrot seed essential oil
- 5 drops of lemon essential oil
Directions
- Start by grating the rind of one lemon. Lemon rind is packed with even more nutrients and active enzymes than the juice so don’t waste it. Keep it aside.
- In a large bowl mix in your white sugar, brown sugar, honey, rosehip oil, jojoba oil, turmeric powder & essential oils.
- Add in the lemon rind and lemon juice.
- Now thoroughly mix all your ingredients with a spoon.
- Transfer to a container ready for use!
- Apply this scrub before you shower. Begin by applying it all over your legs and work your way upwards. Take 10 minutes gently massaging the scrub all over your body ( do not use on face). Allow the scrub to sit on your body for 2 minutes. Now wash off with warm water and mild soap.
6. Turmeric Detox Mask for Acne
If you have acne, your pores are very congested and clogged so you need to first and foremost detox them. This turmeric detox face mask is highly anti-bacterial, detoxifying and will leave your skin with a smooth texture and glassy appearance, also known as glass skin.
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp activated charcoal
- 2 tsp rice powder
- 1 tablespoon rose water or aloe juice
Directions
- In a glass bowl mix all the ingredients together.
- Now wash your face and do some facial steaming for 10 minutes to open your pores. Pat your skin dry with a tissue.
- Apply the mask onto clean skin. All the mask to rest on your face for 15 minutes. Now wash off with warm water.
