How to Apply Homemade Hair Straightening Mask
- Work with hair that’s clean, dry and tangle-free. De-tangle your hair to ensure its tangle-free.
- Part your hair in the middle and into four equal sections.
- Now using a hair color applicator brush, apply the hair straightening mask onto each section of your hair from root to tip.
- After application, pull down the hair mask-coated section of hair using your fingers. Just get your hair and pull it gently down.
- Repeat until your whole hair is covered with the hair mask and pulled down.
- Now leave it on for 30 minutes then rinse off with cold water. Do not shampoo your hair, only apply conditioner. And when applying conditioner, let your hair fall straight down and smooth the conditioner over your hair length. It’s good to choose natural sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner for healthier hair.
- Rinse off with cold water and squeeze out the excess water out gently.
- Do not blow-dry or towel-dry your hair, instead let it naturally dry.
- When it’s damp, comb gently using a wide tooth comb and leave it down – do not tie it up.
- Enjoy your silky smooth straight hair once it has completely dried!
Use this homemade hair straightening mask once to twice a week and watch your hair transform into straight, shiny & silky hair!

Hey! I used to have wavy hair which turned suddenly curly at the age of 33. I dont expect super straight hair but wavy hair. I applied this mask, kept for 30 min and rinsed with water and conditioner only. But my hair was so oily as the mask had coconut oil. Where did i go wrong?Should i shampoo my hair then? I really want a straightened and nourished look for my hair.
