Eggs are tiny packages filled with hair-boosting goodies! They are rich in protein, multivitamins, water, healthy fat and sulfur. All these are nourishing nutrients that will feed the hair follicles, strengthening them and encouraging hair growth. Both the egg yolk and egg white are extremely good for hair. For severely dry hair, egg yolk is the most potent as it contains more fat that can lubricate dry strands. For greasy hair, use egg whites to control excess oil secretion.
Note: When rinsing off egg hair masks, it’s very important to rinse out the hair mask using tepid to cold water. Rinsing out with hot water will basically cook the eggs and leave cooked egg bits on your hair strands!
Measurements noted here are for waist long hair. Feel free to adjust them to suit your hair length, type and thickness.
