Recipe One: Hair Degreaser Spray
What you need
- 1 tbsp arrow root powder (where to get it)
- 1 tbsp rubbing alcohol (where to get it)
- 4 tbsp distilled water (where to get it)
- 3 drops lemon oil (where to get it)
- 3 drops peppermint oil (where to get it)
- 2 oz spray bottle (where to get it)
- Pyrex measuring cup (where to get it)
Directions
- Combine the ingredients in the Pyrex measuring cup.
- Pour into the spray bottle and that’s it! Your natural hair degreaser spray is ready!
- Shake very well before each use as it will separate. Store in a cool dry place.
- Spray onto your scalp and hair then blow-dry your hair and brush through.

Recipe Two: Lemon Lavender Dry Shampoo
What you need
- 2 tbsp arrow root powder (where to get it)
- Cocoa powder *according to hair color (where to get it)
- 4 drops lemon oil (where to get it)
- 4 drops lavender oil (where to get it)
- Bowl and whisk
- Plastic cheese shaker (where to get it)
Directions
- In a bowl, add the corn starch and enough cocoa powder according to your hair color to form a tinted powder. If you have blonde hair, then you can leave out the cocoa powder.
- Now add the essential oils. Stir using a whisk to combine all ingredients.
- Store in a plastic salt shaker bottle.
- Shake onto your scalp and hair, lifting the locks for better applications.
- Then brush through your hair to distribute everything evenly.
