DIY Face Wash with Witch Hazel
Recipe One: Non-Soapy Face Wash for Oily/Acne Prone Skin
What you need
- ¼ cup witch hazel (where to get it)
- ¼ cup rose water (where to get it)
- 2 tsp vegetable glycerin (where to get it) or aloe vera gel (where to get it)
- Small funnel (where to get it)
- Clean amber bottle for storage (where to get it)
- Cotton pads (where to get it)
Directions
- Place a funnel into the bottle then pour in the measured amounts of witch hazel, rose water and vegetable glycerin or aloe vera gel.
- Close the bottle and shake well.
- Your non-soapy DIY face wash with witch hazel is ready! To use, pour just a little onto a clean cotton pad then gently wipe your face. Repeat if necessary and you’re done! Your face will be dirt-free. Now moisturize your face.
Recipe Two: Soapy Face Wash with Witch Hazel
What you need
- ¼ cup witch hazel extract (where to get it)
- ½ tsp liquid castile soap (where to get it)
- 1 tsp vegetable glycerin (where to get it)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (where to get it)
- 5 drops lavender essential oil (where to get it)
- Small funnel (where to get it)
- Soap dispenser (where to get it)
Directions
- Place a funnel in your soap dispenser then add the vegetable glycerin, liquid castile soap and organic apple cider vinegar.
- Now add 5 drops of lavender essential oil and swirl the bottle gently to mix up the ingredients.
- Add your witch hazel extract next then cap the bottle and shake well to combine everything.
- To use, gently work in a little of the mixture on your face and rinse off with cool water.
